THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Paul Dawber was involved in the Australian National tour of
this popular musical, making 392 performances.
This production was actually direct from "Broadway",
but with an Australian cast. Dawber portrayed "Herr Zeller"
(yet another bad guy!) and was also the understudy for the lead
male role - "Captain Von Trapp", played by John Waters.
The cast also included Lisa McCune, Bert Newton and opera
great - Eileen Hannan.
The show opened in Sydney in November 1999, and toured Melbourne
and Brisbane in 2000. The rest of Australia got to enjoy this
production in 2001. |
